A bitter sweet evening where Winterton Coastwatch members gathered for a final meal together at the Boathouse Rollesbay. It is with great sadness we have to tell you that the past Controller of Happisburgh Coastwatch Station Fred Rendell has passed away. “Fair winds and following seas, to you sir, Stand down your Duty done” RIP Fred.
Sadly have to advise you that Bill Wilson the Manager of Hartlepool Coastwatch Station has passed away. “Fair Winds and Following Seas to you Sir. Stand down, Duty Done“. Sadly the Station has also had to close down due to the shortage of Watchkeepers also.

Due to the Scottish mainland natiional full lockdown for the rest of January, it’s has been decided for safety reasons to discontinue Coastwatch lookout duties from 5th January.
